Just a note to future searchers, there is some functionality issues with 2015 eGolfs.  The openEVSE works as it should, the trouble is really the car's use of carnet to control charging functions.  Basically there is no way to use the delay charge features of the openEVSE since the car puts itself to sleep and won't wake up to accept the charge.  I think there is a code to fix this which I'm still trying to implement.  

I use it, good thing.
