Toasted control board?

I have a 40a advanced series openevse circa 2017. Was trying to troubleshoot the WiFi on the unit by resetting the unit physically and on one of the trips inside forgot to unplug the power :(. Cover slipped when I reopened the unit, the LCD unit pulled the molex connector out and shorted something on the way out. Flash and a pop and here we are. Would replacing the control unit put it back in service? Is there a way to check the functionality of the other components?

Replacing the control unit would be a good place to start. You can test the WiFi board with a USB serial programmer.
