OpenEVSE module missing. Please check set up before going further

I installed an OpenEVSE controller board for Juice box 2 per instructions. Turned on power to box. Nothing happened (no lights, no click). I checked WiFi networks on my phone and was able to connect to OpenEVSE-XXXX to open quick setup page. But I received the message above in Topic Title (module missing). Tried rebooting power - same message.

Same exact problem as above, module missing, check set-up

Same problem here.

Having the same problem with one I just installed..

Same problem here. Anyone know what the fix is?

@Jarred Missing module means the Safety controller can't see the Wi-Fi controller over the serial connection. The most common cause is updating firmware with a version intended for different hardware.

I used the update feature built in. Can you advise me which hex file. This is a juicebox v1 board, ordered 2 weeks ago. Thank you
Can you advise the correct hex for juicebox v1. I had originally done the auto update throigh the gui.
Same issue. Is there anything else i should check physically on the board?

@Jarred If you have the Juicebox Replacement board, there is a blue Jumper that needs to be in place. OpenEVSE kits check the 6 pin harness that goes between the boards.

I blue pin was intact. Rebooted and same issue.

I am having the same issue with mine.

Mine is pretty much useless. Back to oem charger on 240v until this can be resolved.

@Jarred Have you opened a ticket?

If you are running the correct OpenEVSE_WiFi_V1.bin firmware and not one of the other releases and the jumper is good It could be the safety controller firmware is corrupt.

The most common cause of this ussue is upgrading with the incorrect .bin for your hardware.
