Replace the DC/DC Converter

I opened a support ticket over 2 weeks ago with no response, so I am hoping for some help in the forum.

I ordered the kit in 2017 and have been using since with no issues until a few weeks ago.  Now I am getting the Vent Required error.  If I disable the check, I get the Diode Check error.  If I disable both, the 2013 Leaf will not charge.

I am not certain what hardware version I have, My order was 3948 on March 24, 2017.

The OpenEVSE firmware is 5.0.1 and Protocol is 4.0.1.  The OpenEVSE WiFi Firmware is 2.9.1.

Reading through the support site, it seems that my DC/DC converter may have failed?  In the parts store, I do not see a listing for that.

1) What would be the part I would need to replace the DC\DC converter?

2) If I wanted to upgrade to that nifty new 3.5 display, Can I do it with just the new lid with the 3.5" hold and the new display itself?

Thanks.

TImothy.

Here is the DC to DC convertor used on older OpenEVSE controllers.

You are correct, the new display can be added with the display and lid.

Thank you. I ordered a couple of them from digikey.

If I can get it back running, I'll upgrade the display.

Thanks!

So, I put in the new DC/DC Converter.  Plugged it in, hit start and "BANG!".  Circuit breaker tripped.  Obviously I did something wrong, perhaps my soldering skills aint what they used to be.  Not sure what the next step to fixing this would be, or how much it might cost.
