Update - remembered the password and was able to reconnect to the OpenEVSE_xxxx network (and wrote down the password this time). The EVSE works again and I can charge my car, all the timing and current settings were still stored. I went to the settings and connected to my wifi extender, and the OpenEVSE_xxxx network disappeared as expected, but I can't connect to openevse-xxxx.local whether I'm on my main network or the wifi extender network. This is different from when I first brought up the system, before the initial network issues I was able to connect to the openevse-xxxx.local address and had data coming into Home Assistant. Now my display just shows 'openevse-xxxx', when I'm pretty sure it was showing an ip address when I had it working the first time. I tried resetting the system again (holding the reset button for >10s), but I now it just comes up in the same configuration (charging works, LEDs are not color cycling, no OpenEVSE_xxxx local network). Not sure if there is something I'm doing wrong, or if I'm not resetting the system correctly. At least I can charge, but I'd like to be able to access settings and get data to Home Assistant again.
Factory reset is holding down the GPIO 0 (BOOT) button for 10 seconds.
You can always use the IP address of the station. it does not rely on mDMS software to make the human friendly name to address conversion. You can get the IP address in your WiFI router or maybe in home assistant.
Ok, I was holding the button marked 'RESET' instead of 'BOOT'. I made a bit more progress, the unit does not want to connect to my wifi extender so it seems that it was cycling between trying to connect to wifi and not broadcasting the OpenEVSE_xxxx network, and giving up on the wifi connection and reverting to broadcasting the OpenEVSE_xxxx network. At random times I would sometimes see the OpenEVSE_xxxx network and sometimes not see it. Also noticed my phone (Android) was having issues connecting to the OpenEVSE_xxxx network, where it would see that no internet was available and auto disconnect before I could do anything with the unit. Finally caught the OpenEVSE_xxxx network with my laptop this morning and set the network to my main house internet (weaker signal) and so far things are working and I'm getting data in Home Assistant. I'd still like to connect it to the wifi extender for better signal, but it is working well enough for now.

I received my kit in July and everything went together and worked well except my network connection to the charger was spotty. I traced to issue to my wifi repeater, and when I replaced my wifi repeater I was no longer able to connect to the charger. I followed what I think were the correct steps to reset the unit (held button labeled 'reset' for 10 seconds, charger internal LEDs color cycle and I see the 'OpenEVSE_xxxx' local net. Unfortunately, I can't connect to the net using the 'openevse' password, I just get a 'Cannot connect to network. Check password and try again.' message. I'm thinking I changed the password when I first was on the 'OpenEVSE_xxxx' local net and forgot it, and now I'm locked out? I'm looking for a way to go to all original configuration, whether that is an different set of button pushes or a firmware rewrite. I'm hoping this is possible and the original password isn't stored in a way that prevents this. I see a lot of info on doing writes to the older system, but can't find much in the forums or documentation covering the new display/wifi hardware combo.
