Temperature throttoling reduces current if temperature in the enclosure exceeds 65C. 30C rise at 48A seems about right but it may not be a bad idea to check that all wire connections to the relay are tight. Excess heat is almost always from a loose connection.

Thanks for the tip. I did check all connections and things are looking good. Mostly I am happy to know that this delta temp is not unexpected. I will carry on.

I am seeing these odd temperature spikes when I charge my 2024 Lyriq. Max current is 50A. Ambient temp is around 32C. Any thoughts or ideas?
