Hi. My OpenEVSE 48Amp is in direct sunlight for the first half of the day. The unit reaches 61 C (159F) when idle. Which is close to temp limit where amp throttling begins. Anyone think placing a barrier (reflective? White color?) in front of evse will help keep temps a bit down? EVSE would not be enclosed. Anyone added helpers such as this?
is there a temperature sensor in the j1772 handle? Just wondering if I need to start finding ways to shield handle from direct sun.
also is there i temp sensor in the unit’s power plug which goes in to the wall? My 60amp outlet is enclosed in a metal weatherproof enclosure so just wondering if I need to worry about that area getting too hot from direct sunlight.
