The boards produced by OpenEVSE use the AQH2223. This part switches the AC power to the coil in AC contactors, closing the contractor when power is applied.
Sure, you can use whatever part meets your needs. OpenEVSE has not tested anything other than the AQH2223.

Hi, I have read from another post that AQH 1213 SSR is used for AC switching. Can any other SSR used for this purpose. Also, can anyone explain in detail, what is the working of this SSR in EVSE charging station.
