I have been reading some information regarding the above and came across the following paragraph, was wondering how the EV would communicate this data to the EVSE? Through the control pilot line?
Are any manufacturers already using this data link to send such data regarding amount of energy required, or completion time back to the EVSE?
"The EV/PHEV shall communicate the expected charge completion time so the information
can be presented to the user on a display in the EVSE."

There is no digital information that currently passes on the pilot line. Battery state of charge and completion charge is not known to the charging station.
