Start button behavior?

I'm looking to buy the OpenEVSE 50 Deluxe for charging my Tesla Roadster.  The Roadster, when left plugged in, will automatically top off the battery when necessary.  My question:  The OpenEVSE has a Start button.  Does the "Start" cover only a single charging session (needing me to keep pressing it every day or so), or will a single Start cover multiple charges initiated by the car over time, without manual intervention?

Perfect.  Just placed an order for the 50 deluxe.  Thanks!

By default OpenEVSE auto starts and will allow charging indefinitely. Pressing the button quickly while charging will put the charging station to sleep, a long press will enter the menu with session options such as "add xxx kwh" or "charge for xxx minutes".
