Server Not Found Error

I've been using my EVSE since January with no issues, I typically charge every 2 weeks as the car is not used much.

On Friday I was trying to alter the charge current via the local web page, when I got a "Server Not Found" error.

I checked the wifi signal in the garage - which has it's own router and SSID - and it was fine. Other automation kit in the same location is online.

I power cycled the EVSE and it came back online.

The same thing as now happened 2 days later, is there anything I should check before cycling to power ?

Hello, I notice same behavior alfter last 2-3 updates. I did not have such problems before. Charger is not available via web and only possible option is to power off and on again. Also during the charging i see power  consumed but charger is not avaiable via web and i cannot control it. Again powercycle. every day. Is this normal?

We ship with 5.1.2 which is very stable. Is there any particular feature that is driving you to use the new firmware? If no we would suggest sticking with 5.1.2 if it was working well for you.

i would expect that new FW is usually better and more stable.. will try older fw

thanks

@sid The OpenEVSE firmware is developed by volunteers in the community, the Wifi firmware to date has had 45 contributors  and they do their best to add new features and test for bugs. Because the community is relatively small, a release may only be tested by a few people after someone posts Pull Request at a minimum the author, Jeremy Poulter and myself.

We would not recommend rushing to the latest firmware unless there is a specific feature you are looking for or want to test it out.

Thanks

I also noticed the TFT display did not show anything except when the car was plugged in and charging.

I have reverted to 5.12

@fastbike The latest firmware puts the display to sleep when it is inactive.

i also  downgrade FW.

thank you
