Opening Gerber files in Eagle 9.6.0

I am a newbie to Eagle as well as OpenEVSE and trying to open the gerber files from the OpenEVSE Plus V5 gerbers zip file and do not find an import in the Eagle app. Its Eagle 9.6.0.

Do I need an earlier version?

Gerber files are the final output of Eagle. For editing you need to open the board (.BRD) and schematic (.SCH) files.
