OpenEVSE is shipped with GFCI self test disabled. Many countries in Europe require Ground Fault protection on the circuit so the built in GFCI is redundant.
GFCI self test should be enabled if the GFCI coil with self test loop is installed.
Enable with push button:
- Press and hold button to enter the Menu
- Quickly press the button to run through the options
- Select (Press and hold) GFCI Self Test or Setup (then GFCI Self Test type on newer firmware)
- Quickly press the button to run through the options
- Select (Press and hold) "Yes"
- Exit Menu
Enable with WiFi:
- Login to wifi portal
- Click on the System tab
- Enable Developer Mode
- Click on the OpenEVSE tab
- Enable the GFCI self test.
